Twitter - Beatles Rock BandBrett Ratner set his Caps Lock to SHOUT yesterday and tweeted a post addressed to comic book fans everywhere. Apparently, someone accused him of being a liar at some point. I'm not sure of the exact context, but Ratner wants everyone to know that "NO ONE IS LYING."

Brian Michael Bendis and Gail Simone, meanwhile, have been discussing their fondness for "The Beatles: Rock Band." Artist Mike Norton isn't quite as psyched about the release, but he'll probably let you play bass with him.

Elsewhere, Jock is getting pumped for his "Losers" set visit and Ron Marz has some advice for aspiring writers.

It's all below in the Twitter Report for September 10, 2009.

@BrettRatner ATTN COMIC BOOK FANS: THERE ARE 3 SIDES TO EVERY STORY. YOUR SIDE, MY SIDE, AND THE TRUTH. AND NO ONE IS LYING.
-Brett Ratner, Director ("X-Men: The Last Stand)

@robertliefeld Huge reason that DC got restructured is simple math, Marvel has had 10 years, 15 films, 11 hits, compared to 6 films and 2 hits @DC
-Rob Liefeld, Writer/Artist ("X-Force," "Onslaught: Reborn")

@BRIANMBENDIS as theorized when i was 5 years old, i am a better drummer than ringo starr. and so is my daughter.
-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("New Avengers," "Ultimate Spider-Man")

@GailSimone @BRIANMBENDIS How freaking awesome is Beatles Rock Band, though? I just want to play it til my eyes drop.
-Gail Simone, Writer ("Birds of Prey," "Wonder Woman")

@MykeNorten I like The Beatles, but not enough to buy a entire rockband set over. Now where's my Rockband Winger at?
-Mike Norton, Artist ("Green Arrow/Black Canary," "Gravity")

@jock4twenty late in this morning... all shorn and prepared for THE LOSERS set visit in a couple of weeks with @andydiggle in Puerto Rico.
-Jock, Artist ("The Losers," "Green Arrow: Year One")

@mikechoi I DID really like 9. But it's an example of the best case scenario of what happens when the story only exists to serve the art.
-Mike Choi, Artist ("X-Force," "X23: Target X")

Spelling pt 1: @ronmarz So, fellow writers, how often do you get this one: "Do you have to be able to spell to be a writer?" I always say yes, it goes with the job.
-Ron Marz, Writer ("Witchblade," "Green Lantern")

Spelling pt 2: @ronmarz Inevitably, the reply is: "Well, I heard Bendis can't spell, and he writes everything."

Spelling pt pt 3: @ronmarz Inevitably, my reply is: "If you wake up tomorrow morning and you're Brian Bendis, you've got it made. If not, you'd better learn to spell."

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@rstevens The new iPods have different powers and abilities like a mixed D&D party. Nano can cast FM RADIO but cannot use edged weapons.
-R. Stevens, Writer/Artist ("Diesel Sweeties")
